Let's Go Canes!

A couple of weeks ago my mom and I took Peyton to a Hurricanes Hockey game.. She had a great time! We were on the jumbotron twice, and she got a tshirt! Every day now she asks us when we're going to go back...

She also enjoyed some cotton candy... Or "hot 'n candy" as Peyton likes to call it...

She insisted on wearing the tshirt she won to bed... She pointed to the words on the shirt and said "It says 'I love T-shirts'" ... So cute! :)

I'm Dreaming of a WHITE Christmas!

Yep, that's right... We had a white Christmas here in North Carolina. Okay, so it was more like a White day-after Christmas.... but close enough right?

This is Peyton's new outfit from the Fitzmaurice's... It was nice and warm, perfect for playing out in the snow... She was bossing people around all morning, insisting we go out and play in the snow.

Please note the Rain boots... We're not entirely prepared for this amount of snow.. But hey, they worked!

Peyton's snowman!

Splashing in the slush in the street!

"My snowman is standing like this!"

We had to make snowmen for Nana, Papa, Peyton, and Mommy.. In this picture we're standing in front of Peyton Snowman and Mommy Snowman :)

And now.... Merry Christmas!!

The Christmas tree after Santa came!

Peyton was so excited to see that Santa ate her cookies and drank all the milk. In fact, she still talks about it!

The present I got from Peyton... Socks with Jingle Bells and earrings that "look like Frosty the Snowman"

She loved her ornament from Aly and Will!!!

"Santa brought me moomies!!"

The awesome outfit Santa brought her (no, he didn't bring the necklace.... that one is mine) complete with Twinkle Toes... She walked around all morning stomping her feet.

Peyton was so excited about the present TJ got for my mom.. If you were wondering, it's a mug of TJ in a cowboy hat. She said "TJ's like cowboy woody!!"

She talked all week about having a birthday party for Jesus, and how she was going to blow out his candles and make a wish... She also said she was going to give baby Jesus one of her Binkies for a birthday present :)

Happy Birthday Jesus

Merry Christmas-Eve

On Christmas Eve we celebrated with Aunt Meg, Uncle Mike, Patrick, Meghan and Jack. Later in the night TJ came over so we could get ready for Santa to come. TJ and I went to midnight mass... Peyton's not quite there yet, but in the next couple of years she'll be joining in that tradition too. I love midnight mass, it's so peaceful and quiet, and it feels like the whole world is silent when you walk out.

Peyton got some food for her kitchen. That seemed to be the "theme" this year.. Lots of food for her kitchen, and Santa brought her a shopping cart so she can go shopping for some more!

Some traditional poses in front of the Christmas trees.... The kids weren't too excited in being cooperative.. They wanted to play with their toys, not stand in front of the tree to take pictures!

She was so excited to leave cookies and milk out for Santa... But she wasn't so excited after I told her that she couldn't eat his cookies!

Inspecting how many presents were under the tree before Santa came... so she would know exactly how many presents Santa actually brought.

This was about time when she went to bed.... She tried to eat Santa's cookie and when I explained that she needed to leave them for Santa, she started crying. She was quickly shipped off to bed.. Where she fell asleep almost immediately!

A Visit With Santa...

The week before Christmas TJ and I took Peyton to see Santa.. Like I said before, Peyton has a HUGE obsession with Santa.

She was jumping up and down and dancing in the garage before we left.

Waiting in line she could hardly contain her excitement.

"There he is!!" She kept asking if it was her turn.... Patience is not her strong suit.

She snuggled up with him as soon as she got in his lap. I think she could have sat like that all day if I let her.

It's a little blurry, but this is the photo that they took for us. Peyton was giving Santa a big hug... I think she just knows that the more love she gives him the more presents he'll bring :)

I'm a College Graduate!!!

On December 18th, 2010 I became a college graduate. I can't believe it's been a month already. Peyton had a great time at the party (We didn't even go to the ceremony... I just bought the Cap and Gown to take pictures with!)

I wish my sister could have been there. Then this picture would have been a complete family photo! :)

We danced the night away...

And Peyton was the only person to try the cake...

Although, she never actually ate a piece... She just snuck frosting all night!

Getting Ready for Christmas!

About 3 weeks late... But Peyton LOVED getting ready for Christmas this year. I wasn't sure how she would be, because last year she absolutely loved Santa, I was worried she would be afraid of him this year. But that wasn't it at all. If possible, she loves him even more.

She found this Santa in a chair when she was out somewhere with Nana and insisted on getting it... She also insisted on taking pictures with him. I think that she thought this was the real Santa.

She started giving TJ's big hugs for the pictures :)

I was helping her put "Santa in a Book" on the tree. It was always my absolute favorite ornament.. I would cry if I wasn't allowed to put it on. I'm now passing down the tradition to Peyton :)
